Which Came First activity DUE THURSDAY
Wednesday: What is the APGOV exam?, Which Came First?
Thursday: 1) Thinkers Notes, 2) Find the Thinkers DUE MONDAY (Use the Declaration of Independence FOUND HERE)
Friday: QUIZ Ch. 2, Finish Which Came First, work on Find the Thinkers
Find the Thinkers Directions:
- Make a 3 column chart: First column = Thinker, Second column = Idea, Third column = Excerpt
- Using the Declaration of Independence, you need to find 3 examples from each of the four thinkers from our notes. Some, like Locke, will be easy, others will be a bit more difficult, but if you think about it, you should be able to make a connection. Maybe what the King did links to an idea.
- Yes, you may use an excerpt for more than one idea, but this will be rare; NO, you can't use Natural Rights for more than one thinker with the exact same excerpt. No double dipping.
Week of January 12
Monday: Class Discussion - Before the Constitution, Shays Rebellion
* Begin Bill of Rights debate reading for Wednesday
Tuesday: Class Discussion - Compromises of the Convention, Ratification
Wednesday: Debate - A Bill of Rights is necessary/unnecessary
Thursday: FRQ intro and practice; begin Constitution study guide using the Constitution found HERE *You will have a quiz over the Constitution in the next couple of weeks
Friday: Class Discussion - Federalism
