Monday: Great Awakening notes, "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God", GOOGLE FORM Tuesday: Great Awakening vs Enlightenment (see Gmail for chart); use the the notes provided and ABC Clio to complete the chart comparing the Great Awakening and the Enlightenment Wednesday: Ch. 5-6 quiz and short answer question Thursday: Ch. 5 discussion (See Colonial Society presentation sent on Tuesday) Friday: Colonial Postcard - Create a postcard as if you are taking a trip through a colonial region or colony. DUE MONDAY On the lined side - You should be able to creatively describe what you are seeing, hearing, smelling, etc. I don't want to see sentences such as, "As I walk through New England, I see churches, people fishing, whaling and cutting down trees." What towns/cities have you been to? How do these places look; are they spread out, close together, tightly or loosely organized? What kinds of buildings are you seeing? What kinds of people are you meeting, and who if you can think of someone famous? What kinds of churches do people attend? What is everyday life like? What do you see people doing for work, and does everyone seem to be working? On the unlined side you need to illustrate by hand some sort of scene from that region or colony. It should be something picturesque, so think of something geographically interesting; a port, mountains, forests, wide expansive fields of tobacco or rice, a city-scape, etc. |
